Searching, browsing, posting, and negotiating is 100% free on FarmLead. If you successfully sell or buy grain on FarmLead, you will pay a small connection fee. This only happens when both the Buyer and the Seller agree to the negotiated terms and a deal has formally closed.
Calculating Your Connection Fee
The connection fee is paid to FarmLead by both the Buyer and the Seller. Both parties are charged $1/MT for the first 80 MT and $0.25/MT for every MT thereafter.
If you are more familiar with bushels, the below chart gives you an idea of the approximate per bushel cost. On average, the FarmLead connection fee corresponds to about 1.2 - 1.4 cents per bushel for the first 3,000 bushels, and then less then 1 cent per bushel thereafter.
You pay nothing to use FarmLead unless you complete a deal.
Users can pay the transaction fee by means of cheque or credit card. Upon checkout, all users have the opportunity to pay right away or to “Pay Later”. If the Pay Later option is selected, a $5 administration charge is added to the invoice.
